SEO Copywriter

Discover Africa Group is an online travel agent that owns and operates various niche websites dedicated to travel in Africa.

We require an SEO copywriter to take responsibility for the following aspects of our travel websites:

  • Keyword research
  • Implementing SEO best practise into HTML page structure
  • Writing engaging website content
  • Writing articles, press releases and blog posts that improve PageRank and/or generate traffic
  • Defining and implementing appropriate social media strategies for our travel websites
  • Monitoring and responding to all mentions of our brand and products on the Internet
  • Producing monthly website performance reports

The successful candidate must show evidence of:

  • A passion for writing
  • Experience writing for the web
  • A solid understanding of how search engines work, how websites are indexed and how websites are ranked in SERPs
  • Innovative and appropriate ideas for leveraging social media to promote travel websites
  • Working with various CMS’s
  • Travelled around Africa (especially Southern Africa)
  • Good communicator (written and verbal)
  • Responsible, reliable and credible

Location

Cape Town CBD - just off Long Street.

Salary

Market related. Based on years experience.

Reporting

You will report to the Director that heads up Web Development and Online Marketing.
You will work as part of the web development team.
